Back in the swing of things...

Well, after taking some time off from cakes to attend classes at Saint Rose, I am getting back in the game and taking cake orders.

I started working at Yanni's Too Casual Dining Restaurant in Coeymans, New York, right on the Hudson River in May of this year and have recently started making desserts for them. It is such a rush to have people order things that I have made! And they like them!

Just a couple weeks ago I made a cake for a birthday reservation of 11, a Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake with a chocolate mousse filling and chocolate frosting. It was fantastic! And the customer thought so as well! It is so nice to be able to sell something that I made and have the instant knowledge and feedback of how they liked it. I'm trying to get more creative with my desserts for the restaurant on the regular menu though, so if anyone has any ideas they think I should try, I am totally open to them!
